Running clothes, where for art thou?

Finding storage = the trials and tribulations of living in a loft!

As the fall weather came upon us rather abruptly yesterday, pretty much the second the calendar changed seasons so did the weather, I suddenly realized I might have to start dressing in long sleeves and tights for runs. But when I went to grab a long sleeve out of my running drawer, there were none to be had. Now, this drawer is a pretty full drawer so I looked again, and again, and again. I wasn’t satisfied until I had pulled every article of clothing out of the drawer and onto my floor.

Nope, no long sleeve there.

I searched the closet, not there; another drawer, not there; well crikey, where the heck had my running clothes run off to? As of writing this post, I have yet to find my cool weather running gear, but I suspect they may have ended up in storage, which is currently a nightmare! Which means… NEW CLOTHES FOR ME!!! Er, I mean, no, I will, ahem, continue the search 😉

TODAY’S RUN:

  • 1 p.m. BG before: 8.9
  • Temp. basal: none
  • Carbs: Sezme Snack (12g) no bolus
  • Time: 31:28
  • Distance: 6.01 km
  • Average pace: 5:14 min/km
  • Average cadence: 86 spm
  • 2 p.m. BG after: 5.4

Not like I needed the warmer clothes for this run. Yes, it was cooler out, and yes there was rain, but it still wasn’t cold enough to warrant sleeves. I had contemplated putting my Saucony running jacket on, but I sweat like hell through that thing, and instead I opted for removable sleeves.

It most definitely was NOT sleeves kind of weather!!!

It turns out I had timed my run perfectly weather wise. An hour prior to going out, it was pouring, and five minutes after finishing, it started pouring again. On the run, though ,it was sun showers and puddle jumping. The sleeves were slid down in a heart beat!

It’s days like these I wish I could run in my rubber boots, because you better believe I’d look super cute doing it 😀

  1. I don’t live in a loft and feel like I’m always digging around looking for running stuff! How can it be so sneaky and hide so well in my drawers!

  2. Half the problem with running clothes is how crazy slippery they are! I always find them on the floor of my closet or smushed behind something else… So it’s not just you, but good luck finding them!
