Like a rag doll

I went for a mid, work-day run yesterday.

It was windy.

Like really windy.

Every which way I turned, I was being whipped around like a rag doll in the hands of a giddy three year old.

It was cold.

Not Calgary blizzard cold, but below zero B.C. cold, which for us is cold.

Like really cold.

My toes felt like they were going to break off.

My fingers were purple and swollen – even with gloves.

My chin was numb.

But the sun was shining and I was running.

Brrrrrr!!!

YESTERDAY’S RUN:

  • 11:30 a.m. BG before: 6.5
  • Temp. basal: none
  • Carbs: mini rice cake with peanut butter and 1 DEX
  • Time: 33:20
  • Distance: 6.10 km
  • Average pace: 5:30 min/km
  • 12:45 p.m. BG after: 6.4

And I plan to do it all over again tomorrow 😀

  1. Brr, I’m getting cold just thinking about this! I have an 8km easy run ahead of me tonight and I’m scared of how chilly it’s going to be!
