In 2012, I gave birth to the most beautiful boy on the face of this planet (yep, totally biased). As much as I’d love to say pregnancy was a blast, it wasn’t.
Being pregnant with type-1 diabetes was a HUGE challenge.
There were so many moments I should have been rejoicing through the experience, but instead I worried.
I worried that my blood sugars weren’t perfect enough.
I worried that my exercise was causing damage.
I worried I was gaining too much weight.
I worried about every gram of food I was ingesting.
There were a lot of unknowns, and not much support.
I blogged throughout my 37-week journey about the highs and lows of pregnancy with type-1 diabetes as a way to document the experience, but also in the hopes of helping someone else down the road.
