Dazed and confused

One year later… I went for a run, but this time there was no Big Ring running a few steps behind me (he was at home caring for Little Ring); there was no Garmin, but rather a beat up old Timex; there was no fancy free footing either, more like a deep gutted fear of the gremlins in the pavement looking to take me down; nor was there the beginnings of a thumb-sucking alien baby in my belly.
